Sam's club? What can you get there that is decent? The company I am with has coffee farms in Costa Rica and we roast it here in the States. Great coffee! And we sell it to vendors :) . PM me for more info.

Amazing! 8) Now we have e-commerce on mennodiscuss! Maybe Hans The Great should start an e-commerce division, or a site called mennodisperse.com

We do have a website: Fog Mountain Coffee, but it is under construction as of yet.

I'm madly in love with Hemisphere Coffee. I get it a local store that gets it from Paul Kurtz who works for Rosedale Mennonite Missions. He's partnered with coffee growers around the world (Equador, Costa Rica, Kenya, Nicaragua). The great thing is that it helps reach people with the love of God by helping provide work in underprivileged areas of the world.
So, I feel a little better putting out a little more money for the "good stuff" knowing that I'm helping someone in another country.

I have checked into one company. Jittery Joe's Coffee is located in Athens, GA, I believe and is even the main sponsor of a professional cycling team. They have a website, but I don't know how to use this BBCode. :?

Mostly they deal with bicycle shops who offer coffee to employees and customers as a perk. I left an email to them last night, and heard from one of the managers this afternoon. On a Saturday, at that!

Go check them out![/url]

Needless to say, Dunkin Donuts would definitely NOT be an appropriate choice of coffee supplier! 8)

Starbucks is my favorite...but we're reluctantly boycotting them because of the homosexual issue...so I'm going with The Coffee Beanery or Barnie's, both of which are really good.

Nothing compares to fresh-ground. 8)

as a Starbucks barista, most would think my opinion to be incredibly biased, but i was a slave long before i worked here.
my poor mom, who used to drink eight o'clock coffee now can't stand to drink anything but the Bucks. good thing i get a free pound a week. :]

of course there's no chance of serving Starbucks at your shop, so i'm definitely with my friend designer_extraordinaire and her suggestion of Hemisphere. it's pretty good joe and supports and excellent cause. :]

not to get off-topic, but are you also boycotting wal-mart, verizon, and pretty much any major corporation out there?

Indeed, if you boycott Starbucks, you shouldn't buy anything made in china because it was prob made with slave labor or nearly slave labor.

Y'all are right. This is something I'm grappling with personally...I haven't figured out yet where to draw the line.

Yeah, Justme, I work at a bakery that's been family-owned for around thirty years. Anymore, if I eat Krispy Kreme or Dunkin Donuts, I have to call it "market research". I just haven't convinced my boss that it is a business expense! 8)

Anyhow, I have now checked out 3 brands of coffee. Jittery Joe's, Fog Mountain Coffee, and Hemisphere Coffee. We're still no closer to a decision, but at least I'm starting to assemble some info about the coffee industry. Honestly, I had no clue about the profit that can be had by selling coffee!

Actually, I could barely be considered family. My wife is a first cousin of the wife of the general manager/co-owner.
