BBCode: Definition and FAQ

Postby areel on Fri Sep 23, 2005 9:27 pm

If you're wondering how to make links, change text color or size, make those fancy "quote" things, etc. you need to use BBCode.

What is BBCode?

BBCode itself is similar in style to HTML: tags are enclosed in square braces [ and ] rather than < and > and it offers greater control over what and how something is displayed.

You already have access to the most popular tags, right under the "Subject" field when you create a new topic or comment. For more tags and a detailed explaination, check out the BBCode Guide.

Hans, you might want to "sticky" something like this. If you want to go more in depth, have at it. Delete this post if you do something better. I just thought it'd be nice to have something up for the beginners.
